MGSD 00 Raiser Launches in March 2027 With Full O Raiser Docking

Bandai has officially revealed the MGSD 00 Raiser from Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The high-end Super Deformed Gunpla is scheduled for release in Japan in March 2027 for ¥6,050, including tax.

Although the model uses the compact proportions associated with SD Gundam kits, it features a complete internal frame based on the engineering of the Master Grade line. This structure allows the separately constructed O Raiser to dock with the 00 Gundam while preserving a wide range of articulation throughout the combined mobile suit.

The shoulder-mounted GN Drives feature an original MGSD mechanism that allows them to rotate while exposing their internal clear components. The O Raiser includes a similar opening feature that reveals specially cut reflective parts. Bandai has also added finely molded lettering and mechanical details beneath the transparent lenses of the GN Condensers.

The MGSD 00 Raiser comes prepared for both close-quarters and ranged combat. Its equipment includes two GN Sword IIs, one GN Sword III, two GN Shields and two GN Beam Sabers. The GN Sword II and GN Sword III receive dedicated beam effects, including a massive light-gathering translucent effect designed to recreate the Raiser Sword.

Connection mechanisms allow the two GN Sword IIs to combine, while the GN Shields can also be joined together. These features give builders several display configurations without requiring additional weapon packs.

With its functional O Raiser docking system, exposed GN technology and extensive weapons package, the MGSD 00 Raiser appears to be more than a simplified version of the original design. Bandai is using the kit to compress the engineering and mechanical presentation of a Master Grade into the exaggerated proportions of an SD Gundam.

Japanese retailers began accepting reservations on August 26. North American pricing and international preorder dates have not yet been officially announced.
