Gundam X’s Iconic G-Controller Is Getting a Real Replica

Fans of After War Gundam X will soon be able to own one of the most recognizable pieces of equipment from the series.

Bandai Spirits has officially opened preorders for the PROPLICA G-Controller, a detailed recreation of the handheld control device used by Garrod Ran with the Gundam X.

Scheduled for release in February 2027, the G-Controller will retail for ¥20,350 in Japan.

Bandai has equipped the G-Controller with 19 LEDs, vibration effects, six music tracks, and around 100 newly recorded voice lines featuring Garrod Ran, Tiffa Adill, and Jamil Neate.

The controller can also recreate sequences inspired by Episodes 2, 5, and 39 of After War Gundam X. One of the biggest features is naturally the ability to simulate the Gundam X’s famous Satellite Cannon firing sequence, combining lighting, sound, dialogue, and vibration effects.

The timing is also fitting. After War Gundam X is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, and the series has been receiving renewed attention through several projects surrounding the anniversary.

The PROPLICA G-Controller is scheduled to release in February 2027, giving Gundam X fans the chance to get about as close as possible to firing the Satellite Cannon without actually having a microwave transmission system on the Moon.
