HG Hamma Hamma Finally Gets a Modern Gunpla Kit

The AMX-103 Hamma Hamma is finally getting some modern Gunpla love. Bandai Spirits has officially revealed the HG 1/144 Hamma Hamma, bringing the Neo Zeon mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ into the High Grade lineup.
Scheduled for release in March 2027, the new HG Hamma Hamma will retail for ¥4,400 in Japan. The kit recreates the mobile suit’s massive frame, distinctive shoulder armor, shield, and its wired three-barrel beam gun hands.
The Hamma Hamma is particularly interesting because it was developed by Neo Zeon as a prototype mobile suit intended for Newtype use. Although the machine itself lacked a Psycommu system, its wired hands could be remotely controlled through quasi-psycommu technology, giving the suit an unusual all-range attack capability. The machine was famously piloted by Mashymre Cello during Gundam ZZ.
For Gunpla builders, this release is significant because the Hamma Hamma has gone a very long time without a standard modern HG representation. Its strange proportions and Neo Zeon engineering also make it one of the more visually distinctive mobile suits from the ZZ era.
The HG 1/144 Hamma Hamma arrives in March 2027, and for fans of Neo Zeon machines, this may be one of the most interesting Gunpla releases coming next year.
