GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT Will Be Playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026

Bandai Namco has confirmed that GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT will make a major appearance at Tokyo Game Show 2026, giving players their first opportunity to get hands on experience with the upcoming Gundam game.

Tokyo Game Show 2026 will take place September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe in Japan, with GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT  available for public hands-on demonstrations from September 19–21.

For the playable demo, participants will be able to choose between three preset mobile suit configurations, allowing players to experience the game’s high speed mobile suit combat and get an early look at how different configurations affect gameplay.

Bandai Namco is also taking the experience a step further with a special demo station designed to resemble the cockpit of the Gundam Helix, one of the new mobile suits being introduced through GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT.

This is important because Rogue Orbit is part of Gundam’s new RG Project, sharing its universe with the upcoming anime Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO. Both projects take place in the newly established After Apocalypse (A.A.) timeline.

Until now, most of what we’ve seen from Rogue Orbit has come through trailers and promotional material. The Tokyo Game Show demonstration should finally give players a better idea of how the mobile suits actually control, how the game’s mobility system works, and how its different machine configurations affect combat.

GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT is currently scheduled for release in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

With the game finally becoming playable in September, we may not have to wait much longer before learning considerably more about Gundam’s newest gaming universe.
