GUNDAM-Con 2027 Opens Ticket Lottery and Reveals Major Stage Lineup
Bandai Namco has opened the first ticket lottery for GUNDAM-Con 2027 SIDE MAKUHARI, while also revealing a stage schedule packed with anime, Gunpla, gaming and competitive events.
The inaugural GUNDAM-Con will take place from January 9–11, 2027, across Halls 1–3 of Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The event is part of Bandai Namco’s expanding celebration leading toward Gundam’s 50th anniversary in 2029.
GUNDAM-Con uses a paid advance-lottery system instead of conventional ticket sales. Adult admission costs ¥5,000 per day, while tickets for elementary and junior-high-school students cost ¥3,000. Preschool children can enter free under certain conditions.
First-round applications remain open through September 6 at 11:59 p.m. JST, with results scheduled for September 15. Applicants need a Bandai Namco ID and must select their preferred date and entry time.
Separate admission tickets are required for each day. Several presentations will also require free stage-viewing tickets, with application instructions coming later.
The newly revealed schedule makes GUNDAM-Con much more than a merchandise convention.
January 9 includes presentations covering home-console Gundam games, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal and the interconnected RG Project encompassing Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO and GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT.
January 10 features the Gundam GWX 30th Anniversary Project Finale, followed by a dedicated Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO stage. The prequel will receive another presentation on January 11, creating two opportunities for Bandai Namco Filmworks to reveal new footage, casting or production information.
Competitive events include the Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Versus 2 Infinite Boost championship, Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base competition and a Gundam Card Game 2-on-2 team tournament.
Gunpla builders will also find new model displays and opportunities to play Gundam Assemble.
Confirmed attendee bonuses include a GUNDAM-Con Ecopla 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Assembly Experience Ver., a commemorative shopping bag and an original in-game item for G Generation Eternal.
The Sunrise booth will sell exclusive artwork from Gundam creators, with selected purchasers receiving access to autograph sessions. Announced participating creators include Jyunya Ishigaki, Nobuhiko Genma, Satoshi Shigeta and Michinori Chiba.
With major anime presentations, new Gunpla, creator appearances and several world-level competitions gathering in one location, GUNDAM-Con is shaping up to become one of the franchise’s most important events of 2027.
